The MTV Video Music Awards will be held on September 12 in New York, the channel announced on Tuesday, the latest key indicator that live entertainment is returning to the city as it recovers from the pandemic.
MTVV has yet to reveal which musicians will perform at the occasion, which will take place in front of an audience at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Last year, MTV announced that it would host a dispersed, behind-closures ceremony in New York with pre-recorded concerts in the same arena before canceling this scheme.
This year’s videos will be eligible from July 2020 to June 2021.
