Governor of Abia state, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has received the first pair of slippers he made since enrolling in a footwear academy in May.
Remember, towards the tail end of the month of May, the Southeastern governor enrolled in a footwear academy, saying it was a personal dream of his and that it is also an encouragement to the youths that see such an occupation as a menial and a degrading one.
Well, from the looks of it, the governor is fulfilling his dreams as he got the pair he made, a black leather pair of slippers.
The move by the governor is one that should boost the morale of the local market and give them a little edge over their foreign counterparts. The governor mentioned this while enrolling into the academy saying that in no time, shoes from Aba would be hot cake all over the world.
