Chidimma Ojukwu Pleads not Guilty to the Murder of Super TV CEO, Mr Usifo Ataga.

Chidinma Ojukwu has pleaded not guilty for the Murder of Usifo Ataga (Super TV Boss).

At Lagos High Court on Tuesday, the 21 year Old Uni-LAG Undergraduate pleaded not guilty to the Alleged Murder.

Together with another suspect named Adebayo Quadri, Chidinma Ojukwu is currently facing an 8 count charge of Murder, Forgery, Stealing etc.

The Other Suspect, Mr Adebayo also pleaded not guilty to all the 8 charges.

Miss Ojukwu’s Sister named Chioma Egbuchu who was also arraigned also pleaded not guilty adding that she didn’t receive the deceased Iphone 7.

The Proper trial is set to begin on the 9th of November this year.

The 2 defendants are currently facing 8 count charge including: conspiracy, stabbing, stealing, forgery etc. The Charges were reportedly laid upon them by the Lagos State Government.

DPP director, Mrs Olayinks Adeyemi appeared in court and revealed that the suspects plotted among themselves and allegedly stabbed the Super TV CEO to death.

She Further explained that Miss Ojukwu and Mr Adebayo reportedly Killed Mr Usifo by stabbing him with a Knife multiple times on the neck and Chest, she also said that the incident happened at 19 Adewale Oshin Street at Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.

DPP added that Miss Ojukwu and Mr Adebayo committed forgery of Mr Usifo Ataga’s Bank Statements in addition to forging drivers license and fake international passport for Miss Ojukwu.

The DPP also accused Chidimma of stealing a Macbook, Usifo’s ATM Cards, 2 Apple iPhones and 380,000 from Mr Usifo’s Account.

The Listed offences are punishable under sections 411, 233, 365 (2)b of the Criminal laws of Lagos State 2015.

Other Stuff that Happened in Court

After the court session on Tuesday, wardens carried both Mr Quadri and Miss Ojukwu and ran away from the press – most especially Journalists who wanted to take pictures and ask questions.

Chidimma Ojukwu wore a face mask and covered her head with a hair scarf.

It is gathered that Chidimma was hidden inside another Court room for more than an hour until the reporters left then she was moved into a waiting prison shuttle. on June 2021, Miss Ojukwu was a said to be a suspect for the Murder of Super TV CEO after his dead body was found in an apartment in Lekki area.

The Police later arrested Miss Ojukwu 3 days later at her Fathers house in Yaba, she was then paraded to police headquaters located in Ikeja.

The Late Super TV Boss was Buried on the 30th of July behind closed doors with only his wife and some family members in attendance.
