Michael Carrick reacts to Man United’s 2 nil Victory over Villareal C.F

It’s Carrick’s first game in-charge of Man United and the team defeated Villareal 2-0 in their UEFA Champions League match today.

Former Man United Manager, Ole Gunnar didn’t make good use of his bench – we can confirm by the way Michael Carrick switched things up.

He started Donny Van De Beek instead of Bruno Fernandes and Giving Sancho ggod playing time.

Man United won the match against Villareal with 2 late Goals which came from Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho.

How Michael Carrick reacted to Man United win

Having took charge of a European elite club barely 48 hours before their next fixture, Carrick had this to say in a press conference. He said “It’s not an important result for me personally, it’s an Important result for the Club”.

“I have a great responsibility to be her, to manage a great team and I take pride in that. So, It wasn’t about me tonight, it was about getting through, you know if you get to this stage of the UCL you can swing easily to any side, so the win was vital actually”.

It was for Carrick to bring on Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford at last quarter of an hour as Manchester United took control of the game at that point and that led to the Goals.

However, Carrick was impressed with Jadon Sancho’s Performance and his goal. The Winger might be on for some quality playing time later on, who knows?
