Rice Production: FG Begins Development of 10 Large Scale Integrated Mills

The Federal Government Nigeria revealed that it has commenced the development  of 10 Large scale Integrated rice mills as part of efforts to boost food production in Nigeria.

The Minister of Agriculture and rural development, Dr. Mohamed Abubakar stated this at the Maiden edition of the International agriculture and food fair holding in Akure, Ondo State represented by the Southwest General Director of the Ministry, Abimbola Ogutonye.

The Minister revealed that when completed the rice meals with combined minimal capacity of 320 metric tons per day would enhance rice production.

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu represented by his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa commended the Ondo State Agricultural Commodities association for all its activities which had helped the State to achieve a lot in the sector.

“A lot has been done in the areas of Agriculture by the Governor of Ondo State, so much products are being grown here in Ondo State and some have also been processed into the other forms of products for productions” Lucky Aiyedatiwa said.
