After Rollins defeated Finn Balor in a stunning display, Kevin Owens met him backstage to reveal that if his match with Big E goes his way – There would be a Triple Treat match at WWE Day 1.
Rollins couldn’t believe what KO had said as he believed the Superstar to be a Liar so he went on to Adam Pierce to confirm what her heard.
Adam Pierce revealed that he didn’t in anyway make that Official to Kevin Owens or anybody. As The Visionary of Drip left the scene, Sonya Deville told Pierce that it wasn’t a bad idea and that was the beginning of Seth’s problems.
Seth confronted KO again and this time laughing, KO on the other hand, was quite serious and it was true – Adam said that if Kevin Owens managed to defeat Big E that night, he’d be part of the match at WWE Day 1.
This made Seth furious so he set out to join the commentary for the Big E vs Kevin Owens match.
In the bid to halt the Triple Treat Match from happening, Seth attacked both competitors and this led to the match ending in a DQ.
A disqualification in favor of Kevin Owens. The Match was then made Official: At WWE Day 1, Big E will defend his WWE Championship title against Seth Rollins and Big E.
