Emma Tustin was found guilty of the murder of 6-year-old Arthur, Thomas Hughes (Arthur’s father) was found guilty of his manslaughter.
Delphnews Reporters revealed that it took the Jury around 6 hours and 15 minutes to come to their conclusion.
There were no reactions from the defendants in court as they were in a separate court due to Corona-virus related issues but Grandparents and Uncles were present.
The relatives present had their heads bowed as those verdicts came in and something quite unprecedented actually, after the Jurors had delivered the verdicts, they asked for a minute silence to remember Arthur.
What Actually Happened to Arthur?
It was Lockdown at March 2020, when those unprecedented restrictions were put in place to curb the spread of the Deadly Corona-virus.
As a result of the Lockdown, Arthur and his dad moved in with his dad’s new Girlfriend Emma Tustin to her home in Sully Hall. At that point, Arthur was a very healthy and cherished little boy by his wider family.
In the weeks that followed, an eye-witness described the Six year-old as Broken, he was subjected to a campaign of abuse that the prosecution said amounted to torture by those who should have cared for him.
By June 2020, little Arthur had succumbed to an unsurvivable brain Injury which was inflicted by Emma Tustin as well as the beatings he endured from his Father.
Emma Tustin was also found Guilty Today of withholding Food and drink to Arthur and also poisoning him with salt by lacing his food with salt and forcing him to eat it.
A Family member who noticed some bruising on Arthur’s body quickly alerted the Police and Social Workers. When they visited the household in April, they found what they described as ‘a happy household where everybody was getting along’.
A few months later, Little Arthur kicked the bucket.
