Jordan Henderson opened the scoring barely 10 minutes on the clock with a sweet curler struck from his left foot. Mo Salah doubled Liverpool’s lead 10 minutes later with another curler out of Jordan Pickford’s reach.
Damian Gray latched on to a straight pass from Richarlison and managed to duck it in-between Alisson Becker’s legs to make it 2-1, Everton fans shook Goodison Park with their chants hoping their team would make a comeback.
Gray’s goal was rather a consolation as Liverpool assumed control of the game as soon as the second period went underway.
Mo Salah widened the margin a bit further – After Liverpool successfully defended a corner kick, the ball fell to Gray who passed back to Coleman, Coleman’s error enabled Mo Salah run a bit before hitting the bottom corner.
Allan didn’t anticipate Jota’s skill and composed finish, that’s for sure! – Liverpool were on the attack and Sadio Mane managed to pick out Robertson on the flanks, Robertson’s low pass was well controlled by Jota who raised the roof with a thunderous strike.
Liverpool remain at 3rd place in the Premier League Table, a point behind Manchester City who are also behind Chelsea FC while Everton are sitted at the bottom half of the EPL table with 15 points from 14 games.
