You might be following the news of Jennifer Anthony, a 300 level student of the University of Jos, who was found dead on the first of January 2022. According to the report, she was last seen alive with her boyfriend Moses Oko, a 300-level student of the University of Jos, whom she lodged in a hotel with.
Fast forward to several days later when her lifeless body was found alongside some parts of her body removed including her eyes, many believe this was done for ritual purposes.
Moses who was last seen with her, seem to have disappeared. Thanks to the quick response of the Nigeria Police Force, it was revealed that the 20 years old suspect had been arrested in Benue state, where he was placed in a psychiatric home by his parents.
Parading the suspect on January 12, the police operative revealed that Moses had fled after committing the crime, and he would be arraigned in court after proper investigation is done.
However, the suspect’s father Joseph Oko in an Interview with AIT, insinuated that his son isn’t in the best of health, stating that the suspect is mentally unstable. Joseph Oko who is a university lecturer, revealed that Moses is a weed smoker and, this might have clouded his judgment. The suspect can be seen appearing mentally unstable upon his arrest, with this act pleading insanity wouldn’t be far from it.
